Digital Marketing Project Manager

1099 Contract Position | Remote | Hourly | Limited Part-Time Hours

You didn’t get into project management to play email ping-pong all day. Neither did we.

At GreenCup Digital, we’re looking for a Digital Marketing Project Manager who specializes in WordPress website projects—but that’s not all you’ll do. While website builds are your bread and butter, you’ll also support SEO, content creation, social media, and other digital marketing initiatives. You’re the person who understands how all the pieces fit together and can manage them simultaneously without breaking a sweat.

Here’s the deal:

You’ll lead WordPress website projects from discovery through launch and beyond, while also supporting other digital marketing initiatives. You’re the person who keeps everything moving, everyone informed, and clients confident that their project is in capable hands. You’ll work with designers, developers, content creators, and clients who may or may not understand what “above the fold” means—and you’ll guide them all to the finish line with grace, humor, and a project plan that actually makes sense.

The Working Relationship (the important stuff):

Let’s be upfront: this is a 1099 independent contractor position with limited hours based on client project needs. You’ll be paid at an hourly rate for hours worked. This isn’t a traditional full-time job with guaranteed 40-hour weeks or W-2 benefits.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading WordPress website projects from discovery through launch and post-launch support
• Managing timelines, deliverables, and communication for multiple simultaneous projects
• Serving as the primary client contact (yes, THE person they call when things go sideways)
• Coordinating with our internal team of designers, developers, and content specialists
• Reviewing work across design, development, and content to ensure quality and alignment
• Providing high-level insights on SEO, content, social, and email marketing as they relate to website strategy
• Tracking project hours and managing invoicing (because budgets matter)
• Identifying and addressing risks before they become problems
• Staying current on web design trends and best practices
• Representing GreenCup Digital’s values in every client interaction

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of project management experience in digital marketing or website development
• Proven experience managing WordPress website builds from start to finish
• Strong understanding of website functionality, UX, and how websites support marketing goals
• Experience as the primary client contact across multiple simultaneous projects
• Solid knowledge of digital marketing channels (SEO, content, social, email, PPC)
• Proficiency with Google Workspace
• Experience with project management tools (Basecamp experience is a plus)
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced remote environment
• High emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills
• Reliable internet and remote work setup
